Delhi Capitals have named Axar Patel as their new skipper before the upcoming edition of the tournament. Axar has taken charge after the Capitals failed to make their way through to the play-offs three seasons in a row from 2022 to 2024.

On March 14, Holi, Delhi Capitals appointed Axar Patel as their new captain (Delhi Capitals Captain 2025). Recently, there were speculations of making either KL Rahul or Axar Patel the captain, but the DC franchise has played a big game and handed over the command of the team to Axar Patel (Axar Patel Captain).
