A 911 call was made by someone at KinderCare in Arlington Heights, after they were contacted by the child's parent or guardian.

“Like, I don’t understand. I was infuriated, I was enraged, and everything like that,” said Wamui Miwiya, the father of Dior, who was left on a KinderCare bus in Arlington Heights for around two hours Tuesday, Jan. 14, WBBM reported.

The girl, found asleep, had been left on the bus for several hours Tuesday amid freezing temperatures. The teacher who left her and the center director were placed on administrative leave.

A 5-year-old girl in Arlington Heights is recovering from hypothermia after being left on a bus alone by her daycare Tuesday, her parents told ABC7.

It was about 14 degrees when the child was found Tuesday left on the bus for more than two hours after being picked up from school to attend aftercare at South Arlington Heights KinderCare. Paramedics transported the child in fair condition.
