Dragonflies are aquatic insects that thrive near water. Their larvae live under (or near) freshwater sources for weeks, months—or for some species, years—until they reach maturity.
Recently, I had the opportunity to film the fascinating hunting behavior of a dragonfly larva. These larvae, belonging to the family Aeshnidae, are true masters of underwater predation.
