Sep 28, 2024 · Honestly, I think the beauty of Disco Elysium is exactly how a lot of it seems like nonsensical text, specially in its world building. To the point it almost feels like a parody of every fictional world building in media, but at the same time it feels so sincere, like it does take itself seriously, it's all intentional and analytical.

Jan 17, 2020 · Feels like a superficial recommendation just because most of what you posted parallels Disco Elysium more thematically than aesthetically, but Dishonored I and II share a similar style and presentation with DE, and they're also just great games in their own right.

But then i played it and was so utterly bored that maybe my dream game was just a bad idea. I find the game writing more "annoying person who really wants you to think theyre smart" than actually smart.
