    To replace the battery in a Ford keyless fob, you need to:

    1. Turn the remote over, and on the rear of the remote, press the release button.
    2. Remove the plastic cover from the remote. Place the back cover to the side. You will not see the batteries yet.
    3. Insert a flat screwdriver into the slot and twist it to open up the remote. You should be able to pry the two parts of the keyfob.
    4. Use the small flathead screwdriver to remove the cover from the back of the key fob.
    5. Use the flathead screwdriver to carefully pry out the old battery and then insert the new one making sure that the positive side (the + sign) is facing up.
    6. Once the new battery is in place, replace the cover and you’re done.
