Myrbetriq relaxes the muscles of the urinary bladder, reducing bladder spasms. It is used alone or with solifenacin succinate to treat the symptoms of overactive bladder, such as frequent or urgent urination and urinary incontinence.

Myrbetriq (mirabegron) is used to treat overactive bladder (OAB) symptoms in adults. It can also be taken by children ages 3 years and older to treat neurogenic detrusor overactivity (NDO). This medication is taken by mouth, typically once daily.

The dose range of Myrbetriq ER tablet is 25 mg to 50 mg. For overactive bladder in adults, doctors prescribe a starting dosage of 25 mg once per day. Depending on what your doctor prescribes, you might take Myrbetriq alone or with solifenacin (Vesicare).

The recommended started dose for Myrbetriq is 25mg once a day, increased after 4 to 8 weeks to 50mg/day if needed. When used in combination with solifenacin succinate Myrbetriq 25mg should be combined with solifenacin succinate 5 mg orally once daily.

The recommended starting dose of Myrbetriq is 25 mg once daily, with or without food. 25 mg is effective within 8 weeks, though the dose may be increased to 50 mg once daily. Myrbetriq should be swallowed whole and should not be crushed, divided or chewed.
