There is no monthly billing charge for any modem rented from Spectrum. There is a small charge to rent a WIFI router from Spectrum, but the modems that are provided by Spectrum have no charge. Satch

May 22, 2022 · The first DOCSIS 3.1 modem they handed out had 2 ports, but link aggregation was never officially supported, so it was mostly useless. All the current residential DOCSIS 3.1 modems only have 1 2.5G ethernet port because they only hand out one IPv4 to the modem so there's no need for a second port because it's a modem not a router.

May 18, 2024 · Advanced settings are still available at Spectrum.net and the My Spectrum app. Using the app, you go to the Services tab, scroll down until you see Network Equipment and tap on the router, and then scroll down again to see Advanced Settings, including port forwarding.

Jan 15, 2025 · Thank you for your question! All customers who are within the limits to receive symmetrical speeds will require a Wi-Fi 7 router, but a docis 3.1 modem would suffice. The modem you are currently using would qualify to receive the speeds.
