  2. To replace the ribbon on a time clock, you need to1:
    1. Pull upward on the lower part of the clock face until the Type Section locks in the up position.
    2. Remove the Cotter Pins that retain the ribbon spools.
    3. Remove the old spools from the time clock.
    4. Lift the Ribbon Hold-down Guide.
    5. Use a pen or pencil to support the guide in up position.
    6. Remove and properly discard the old ribbon.
