Polling Rate 125Hz vs 1000hz @ 144hz Monitor @ 144 FPS
26 Lún 2020 · Mouse polling, yes I notice, at 125 Hz it's laggier for sure and that's on 76 Hz monitor. For regular people who may use even abomination such as Vsync in games, it may not be noticeable. On older mice such as MS IE 3.0 it would also limit max movement speed, you can test yourself with a newer mouse sensor to what degree that's still the case.

2000hz vs 1000hz polling rate on a 240hz monitor - Reddit
Again, this question is specifically for performance on a 240hz monitor NOT anything less than that. update: looks like so far no one yet has reported in with a community accepted 2000hz polling rate or higher, so I'm still looking for insight into the high hz to high refresh rate experience
The Path to the Holy Grail of 1000Hz : r/Monitors - Reddit
22 Lún 2020 · Lets start with response time. At 1000ms, pixels must fully transition to a new colour within 1ms, and likely less than 0.5ms. Pretty much no monitor can do that yet. You'd also have to do backlight strobing at 1000hz to hide the transitions. There's pretty harsh diminishing returns beyond the 240-300hz range that we're at now.
ELI5: Why aren't there 1000+ hz monitors? Why can't high hz
The refresh rate of the monitor, which is what the hz is, is how many times the screen is redrawn per second. 60hz means you are updating the screen 60 times per second. There are practical limits as to how fast you can send the signals and make the crystals (in an LCD) move, though the theorical limits are vastly higher than the practical ones.

You're monitor physically can't pick it up.

24 Feabh 2023 · 1000 Hz is marketing bullshit, similar to the sales pitch for megapixels in cameras. Most people think more = better. Very few know the downside of such a bullshit marketing driven "feature" - which is fine for monitor manufacturers, because their main goal is to sell more, not to deliver a product you will be happy with for years.
