The standard way to tune a 7 string guitar is to tune it to B Standard. The strings are tuned from lowest to highest: B E A D G B E. This tuning takes the standard 6 string guitar tuning and adds a low B string.

B Tuning or B Standard Tuning is the standard tuning for a seven string guitar, where the strings are tuned B-E-A-D-G-B-E. B tuning can also be achieved on a six-string guitar, when the strings are tuned B-E-A-D-F♯-B, known then as Baritone Tuning.

The most common tuning for a seven-string baritone guitar is B-E-A-D-G-B-E. Starting from the lowest-pitched string to the highest, the strings are tuned to B, E, A, D, G, B, and E, respectively.
