ECU tendonitis is a condition where the carpi ulnaris muscle becomes inflamed and irritated due to continual repetitive movements that place stress on the tendon. Symptoms of ECU tendonitis include wrist pain, loss of grip, or stiffness in your pinky. ECU tendonitis and ECU tendon subluxation are usually treated with rest, icing, and immobilizing the wrist and tendon. If those treatments don't work, a cortisone injection (for tendonitis) or surgery may be considered.
