    • Marinate beef slices in a mixture of soy sauce, sesame oil, baking soda, corn starch and ginger paste for 15-30 minutes.
    • Combine sauce ingredients in a small bowl and set it aside.
    • Mix cornstarch and water in a small bowl until smooth.
    • Mix beef and 2 tbsp of sauce in a bowl and set aside for 15 minutes.
    • Add 1/3 cup water into the remaining sauce.
    • Stir-fry beef until it is browned and cooked through.
    • Add garlic, ginger, scallion, and stir-fry for another 1 or 2 seconds until the sauce thickens.
