  1. Most homeowners settle for ⅛ or ¼ thickness, which is quite clear and allows plenty of light inside your room. However, if you want the glass to be a little thicker, you can opt for 3/16, which is more resistant. In general, all forms of plexiglass are appropriate for any bad weather.
